06 · Basement Finishing
What finishing includes.
Basements fail from moisture and low light. We engineer both out before a single stud goes up.
- Moisture testing, drainage fixes and mold remediation
- Egress windows, permits and code-compliant stairs
- Insulation, heating extensions and soundproofing
- Family rooms, guest suites, offices, gyms and wet bars
From shell to suite
Downstairs, done right.
Demo, drainage and framing happen fast — the magic is in lighting and trim that match upstairs.

Three ways to use it.
Family Lounge
Sectional, big screen, wet bar and a half-bath for guests. The room that ends the fight over the living room. Typically 5–8 weeks.
Guest Suite
Bedroom with legal egress, full bath and a kitchenette. In-laws welcome, privacy preserved — and resale value that appraises.
Work & Workout
A real home office with daylight-balanced lighting plus a gym with rubber flooring and mirrored wall. Commute: twelve stairs.
Basement FAQs
Good questions.
My basement gets damp — can it still be finished?
Usually, yes — after the cause is fixed. Our free visit includes moisture testing; if drainage or grading work is needed, it's a line item in the estimate, not a mid-project surprise.
Does finished basement space count in appraisals?
Permitted, heated space with legal egress counts as living area here — which is exactly why we permit everything and cut egress windows to code.
How do you make it feel less like a basement?
Nine-foot ceilings where structure allows, large egress windows, warm 3000K lighting on dimmers, and upstairs-grade trim. Nobody guesses.
